Sure, there are re-writable CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drives. However, it is not almost as practical or convenient for my part to other non-mechanical answers. I have a PC with all my programs and records, which may be accessed over the community, where I can then pull all that information onto any other computer and set up and run the programs. No CDs or thumb drives even wished. There are many external garage alternatives; outside USB/eSATA, tough drives can be an extraordinary answer for acting backups or shifting information from one laptop to another.
